Thanks for a very detailed discussion. You've done a tremendous job putting together the system (what, upwards of $40k?)
You say the amp combines the strengths of all the other amps, but then you are relying on aural memory to a large extent, no? It's not clear you listened to the other amps you mentioned, in the exact same system (with those $5k cables no less and the modified Sony).
I guess my question is, while I do not doubt the tremendous sound you're getting, and I do no doubt the Plinius is a great amp, I can't help but think the sound would be tremendous in the ways you write about with any of the other amps you mention in the review. Isn't this another case of the reviewer being in love with the latest arrival?
