Re: Krakatoa Blues

If the Krakatoa is too bright you might try the Tsunami plus (newest version) I bought one of those and I prefer it overall to the Krakatoa, which as you know costs 2x as much. It is a fuller sound, but does give up some detail, I think it is a more ideal balance for most applications. I personally like the Audience Power Chord better than either, it is balanced just right to my ear, is 1/2 of the Krakatoa, and easier to place. I have only used the Audience cord on CD players and preamps, so I don't know how well it fairs on amps. If you want to spend a bit more the standard Elrod cords are better than the Krakatoa, the EPS 2 for sources and preamps and EPS 3 for amps. They are noticably better and will not sound bright compared to the Krakatoa.
