I think the Tungsol 6X4W is noticeably better than the Tungsol 6X4WA in terms of resolution and musicallity. The Valvo E80CC is an excellent choice for the buffer stage. I just acquired a pair of Valvo E80CC after the review. I would recommend the combination of Tungsol 6X4W + Valvo E80CC + Tungsol 12au7 black glass in your system. The Vandersteen should be a very good match.The price of $1195 was from the Asylum data base, I could not change it when I wrote the review. However, I did indicate the correct price in the spec.
