I have a GCC-100 on the way and will be able to compare the preamp section to the PCA-2.I'll report the results here.
Had an HCA-2 a year ago but is long gone due much to the reasons you mention..
Very much enjoying an ARC 100.2 right now. Manages to walk that tube/SS line very very well.
We'll see how the GCC's amp section stacks up.
