I use a Cary SLP-98 with Cary 306-100 CDP and SimAudio amp, and have been very pleased with the results. When the 2002 came out, I compared the SLP-98 to the 2002 and STRONGLY preferred the 98. It is better made, sounds way better, and with really useful features like the adjustable input sensitivity (no balanced ins & outs, though). I found the 2002 to be a little bit light-weight (the 98 was much fuller and richer, yet not too dark and chocolatey).Just my $.02
