Looks like no one does this.IMO Bryston power amps are ok. The 4BST is not as resolving as some other amps like Musical Fidelity. That said, the 4BSST may be better at this.
The 4BST sounded pretty musical with the MF SS pre I have. Just that last bit of transparency was missing. The SST model will probably give you that transparency.
I have a Music Reference tube preamp and it's pretty musical. Not totally transparent, etc. I'm using it with a Pass Aleph 30 in my bedroom system. I'd be very curious to try a passive pre like the Placette with a 4Bsst amp or the Pass. I'd expect something quite decent and livable.
