Some of the taxes I pay every year go to helping the less fortunate in various ways, and I'm very supportive of that, although it seems like fewer and fewer tax dollars go in that direction every year, as tax policy more and more favors the extremely wealthy. Especially now.
If you dropped $300,000 in my lap, there's still extremely little chance that I would buy components like these, because they are simply neither cost-effective nor a good value in my opinion. And cost-effectiveness and value are very important to me, no matter how much money I do or don't have.
If you or anyone else want to do so, knock yourselves out. I have better things to do with my money, like keep it for retirement so as to not have to lean on anyone else down the road.
