Almost nobody has tried them all so it boils down to what people like and know.
A few years ago I had a Roksan turntable boxed and I was ready to hand the credit card over. It was a Roksan Radius - and I quite liked it but in the end I went for the store's demo Audio Note TT2. Is it because it was so much better than the Roksan - no - but I already owned the TT2 back when I lived in Canada and I liked it and more importantly I know what the sound is like over a longer period of time. And it was the same money. So nothing against the Radius it's just that I have a "comfort level" with the product.
Plus I knew eventually I would upgrade and the resale value is strong - back in Canada I sold my TT2 for $600 more that I paid for it and I got what I paid for it I paid for it in Hong Kong. Versus the Radius which would have lost 50-70%.
So when I think of what the best of something is - there are so soooooo many aspects to consider - sound - being subjective - probably isn't it.
Preamps - features? Measurements? Aesthetics? Resale value? Longevity? Name plate prestige?
