You're a very experienced fellow. And a very experienced fellow is going to recognize that swapping out different components change the character of whole system, - sometimes quite dramatically.
Honestly, there are a lot of amps that do not play nice with Wilson speakers. I would hazard, that in a more honest moment, even the folks at Wilson would recognize such.
