''We are all enthusiastic about the things that we love. ''
I would like to give a short comment about this, I love or like nothing in High End. I buy a product which is a result of Brain/Knowledge from a Designer. I listen to it and think about it.
In my opinion, most "reviews" are more or less the typical "I bought this/that, I will tell the world how happy I am and how great it is". You find that even for real low end units (for very high prices) which are a pain to listen to. Even more horrible are the reviews in the mags,... when the MkII version is available, it is of course much better because Version I sucked (for example). When I go back to review for Version I I find no comment about that. Only glowing raves and recommendations...
I got Lamm more or less by accident. I bought a second Hand LL2 preamp and was very impressed. After a few days the listening to my much more expensive Aesthetix Callisto Signature (a very good unit btw.) simply gave me not the sonic "realness" I got from that "cheap" preamp. Well, you know, the brain inside...I sold the Aesthetix, then I got a LP2 Preamp, another impressive unit, well, now it is the ML2.1 and it survived everything I brought home the last 2 years. I stopped that now. Good Audio Engineering is timeless...
Thank you for your friendly comment and my best regards to all
Kind Regards![]()
