I have the same reservations but in reality how long will any of the "boutique" gear manufacturers be in business? Pacific Valve seems pretty solid and does service in house but in these times who knows which companys are around for the long haul. In the case of the Doge gear I think you would be gambling with less outlay then for a comparably performing domestic or euro made pre which is what motivated me to try it. Lifes a crap shoot.
