Technics SL12010mk2 with Jelco 750D Tonearm - pics

I spent my Saturday on a project for a work related meeting next week. I decided to take a break and reward myself with some late night tinkering.

The Jelco 750D tonearm along with the optional heavier counterweight arrived earlier in the week from a seller in California. The high quality black adapter plate (also available in silver) came from Sound HiFi in the UK. It comes with a complete kit of screws and nuts which allows for two different mounting methods. I chose to use the captive nuts because it will make tonearm swapping much easier w/o having to completely disassemble the Technics turntable.

I'm waiting for the rather heavy 16-gram Orsonic (NOS) headshell to get here from Hong Kong. In the mean time I'm using a Sumiko headshell with a 3-gram weight on it.

Yes, the cartridge sits further back in the headshell vs w/the Technics arm but it aligns fine

First few spins via the Graham Slee Era Gold V & Elevator EXP sound wonderful!
