Hi Daniel,
Yes, they are both high performance step-up transformers. The Ortofon T30 has 3, 6, 12, and 24 Ω loadings to suit different impedance of cartridges. It is a natural partner for Ortofon cartridges such as MC 30, MC 2000, MC 3000 etc.
The Denon AU340 is a next model down its flagship, the AU1000. It employs super permalloy core and the left and right transformer are individual shielded. It has two inputs for convenient switching between two turntables and it has two loadings, 3 and 40 Ω. It can be compatible with all Denon cartridges as well as, for examples, Ortofon MC20, EMT XSD-15, Grace F-10P and Supex SD909. Either of these two transformers is a good choice.Good luck!
