I believe the 'r' is pronounced. You won't sound like an idiot either way -- as long as you have the good taste to search out his records! Do you have the first one "The New Folk Sound of Terry Callier"? Amazing stuff. I wish some audiophile label would reissue that one. The Cadet albums are great too -- the Elektra stuff is a little too 70s disco for my tastes. (Nothing against disco -- I just didn't think it was a sound that worked for him).
