Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ.
According to a post read long ago on Vinyl Engine the stylus becomes quite hot as one would guess.
"Van den Hul apparently measured tip temperatures to be 160 °C."
Since heat is often important to cleaning surfaces, hot water, hot air, etc., does brushing the stylus immediately after lifting from the record as opposed to waiting improve the cleaning action? Is it possible to get at the stylus quickly enough before it cools down?
