Well Mr Sands,this is the way you want to do a Sherwood s-5000.Here is the bottom view where I use the different type caps from paper in oil to poly film.In the corner I use a terminal strip to mount the 3 caps to take the place of the 3 section 50vdc can cap.
On top of the chassis you will see a dual 100 jj cap.In the corner you see a 35uf at 500c film cap that connects off the GZ34 rect.
