Hello:
I recently went vintage and picked up a Kenwood KR-5400 receiver on ebay. I haven't received it yet, but it is supposed to be in excellent functioning condition except for the bulb in the tuning dial indicator (the part that moves across the dial). The seller claims that it was not available for replacement, but I was wondering how hard they tried and if maybe I could find one and do it myself. I do not have experience diagnosing electrical problems, but worked for a couple of years in electronic assembly and have very good soldering skills. I will probably upgrade as soon as I can find something better via the garage sale/thrift store route, but in the mean time I would like to have the bulb replaced and it would likely add value (however little) when I go to sell it on ebay. I tried to find info in past postings, but could not find anything specific to my unit. I appreciate any help...
Regards, Jason.
