is it possible to avoid using a selector switch in a TVC preamp with multiple inputs?

hope my question is clear: i would love to eliminate every posibility for any further sonic degradation in a TVC preamp i'm considering building. i can live even with a single input but i would still feel a bit more relaxed with 2 or 3 in total, 1 XLR.

do you think it would be possible to wire them without a selector switch on a signal path. as i am not listening more than 1 level at the same time, i don't see why this wouldn't be possible, or am i wrong?
