Buss MTH 5 fuse -- what is it?

I got a used Hafler amp that had a pair of BUSS MTH 5 fuses in the speaker protection fuse blocks.
The fuse element is a jagged plate of metal much larger than anything I have seen in the usual AGC 5 amp fuses I normally use.
What is a BUSS MTH 5 fuse's amp rating? Is it suitable for a home solid state stereo amp?
GOOGLE was no help.
