In Reply to: How to "Mod" a CDP for allow it can read CDR ? posted by Fourth on August 8, 2004 at 05:55:46:
Mr. Ironwoods & Mr. pburkeThx ! I have made a close session. And always burn CDR in low speed 4X. Burn by NERO.
As what Mr. pburke say, the CDP is "designed" to not read CD-R. I think I should make my speech clearly. My CDP cannot "detect" any CDR. It always show "no dise", I have try different brand CDR: green, blue, gold, silver, black, except the rainbow one.
Anyway, I understand that it is not worth to do that, however, I just like the sound character of this Kenwood CDP, and Kenwood without new model can be bought nowaday. So I really hope could make it work well with CDR. What Kenwood sound like ? Not smooth, not details compare with my Marantz 17D, but only hard and sharp.
Your sincerely.
