The tube killers (other than arcing issues) are current and dissipation.
Arcing is due to voltage. Absent a compromised envelope or a structural misalignment, usually not a problem.
Voltage times current make for too much dissipation.
I'm trying to think how one would have too much current but not enough voltage to kill a power tube - help me out.
