it is an alternative. Both have their strengths. The Kageki delivers a longer and more natural sounding decay to notes and a more open top end. The 133A amp delivers a punchier sound and tighter bottom end, but is a bit drier sounding (less reverb). The 133A is a pushpull amp and it does sound like one, so the does come down to good pushpull vs. good SET sound.
