RE: minimonitor recommendations requested

Yeah, mounted on the front versus the back of the front baffle makes a difference, at least in theory. Whether or not it matters in practice depends on the size of the driver and the frequency range which it covers, as well as the thickness of the baffle. Harry Olson described all this back in the 1950s in either "Acoustical Engineering" or "Music, Physics and Engineering". (I could look it up, but I'm comfortable in my chair at the moment.) Basically, with the rear mount, you've got a radiator radiating into a very short pipe. But I hope the designers know that and have determined that it's okay. (Or, maybe not.)

Still, as Russ69 pointed out, and I agreed with, you should be looking at towers.
