Using Quad Active 12L's myself, but they never made it to market for various reasons. They're a little bright in a large, reflective room, but boy do they make instruments sound real. No recessed midrange like one or two of the "audiophile" speakers out there. The only real downside is the logistics of getting power to each speaker.
