Need your help on which speaker to purchase. I have narrowed my search to three, proac 1sc, spendor s3/5, sonus faber cremona auditor.
I have auditioned over a dozen small monitor speakers and the sonus faber auditor is at the top of my list. It is so smooth, excellent imaging, dept, timbre, etc. Four grand is a lot to spend, so here is my delima. The other two I have yet to audition due to location of dealers. Are the other two in the same league? They varie in price from $1100 to $4000. I don't want to spend $4000 on the auditor if it is marginally better than the s3/5, same for the proac. I no I should listen for myself but need a little more advise from people that have listened to any of these three. Is there any other small monitor that have similar sound characteristics as the auditor at a less expensive price? As you can tell, I am looking for a speaker that has an excellent midrange because I listen to alot of vocals and accoustic music. Any advise would be appreciated
Thanks
