I didn't have any problems when I installed it, but I must have been careful to un-check all the boxes.Realnetworks got hit with a big fine for doing this kind of thing. It was their bad luck that a lawyer was stung by the pre-checked repeat billing option in a software installation. Sooner or later, someone is going to be annoyed enough by opt-out installers like OpenCandy to sue for the costs of removing cr@pware.
After reading the Imgburn discussions, there are a couple of ways to be safe:
1) use 7zip to extract the exe file form the installer. Then move that file into the Imgburn program folder.
2) invoke the installer with the /NOCANDY switch.
3) NSIS silent installation:
SetupImgBurn_2.5.8.0.exe /S /D=C:\Program Files\ImgBurn
