This reminds me of the night back in late '67 or early '68 when I was listening to Uncle T's Freedom Machine radio show on Boston's WBUR-FM (Boston University Radio).
While being interviewed by Uncle T, Janis was discussing her debut album with BB&THC and started complaining about the record label (Mainstream, as I recall) over some issue, and all of a sudden she began to break apart the LP for all to hear.
Does anyone here remember Uncle T?
Anyway, I just listened to the clips from the Legacy release on Amazon, and it sure takes me back to the glory days of the San Francisco Sound. Sure, their edges were a little rough, but that describes many of the groups of the day; Moby Grape, especially, comes to mind when listening to this album.
Now I want to get my hands on this, as well as the Sundazed re-issue of that first album.
