I've been playing with a friends Edirol ua-25 and I'm fairly impressed with it. So much so that I'm thinking of getting one for my ibook. I'm wondering if I'd be better off holding out for a ua-5. It seems posters here prefer the ua-5 but if one had no need for coax in and was only going to use USB in / RCA out, is there any significant difference in sound quality between models? Has anyone compared them side by side? I understand that theoretically the lack of a powersupply in the ua-5 might improve things but is that a reality?I was getting some glitches in the sound with the ua-25. Problem was solved with the latest driver. Does anyone know if the latest driver for the ua-25 will work with the ua-5?
