Lindemann-audiotechnik proudly announces the introduction of its acclaimed D680 SACD/CD/HDCD player for the North American market through their official importer, AudioSonix.Industry Firsts: Lindemann-audiotechnik is proud to say that the D680 is unlike any other player currently on the market, as it boasts the ability to play SACD, CD and HDCD discs all to their highest potential. The player features SACD playback, with all the sonic advantages implicit in the format. Not only that, it plays Red-book audio CDs with Lindemann’s own High Definition Resampling Architecture (HiDRA®) and HDCD’s with 192kHz 24bit re-sampling, an industry first.
HiDRA® is a completely new system, developed by Lindemann-audiotechnik. HiDRA® contains a complete chipset in 192 kHz 24 Bit-Technology (AD 1853 & SRC AD1896). HiDRA® is not afflicted by any jitter problems and enables an incredibly detailed sonic performance with a huge 3-D like soundstage.
The player’s revolutionary technologies and sonics helped it recently earn a 100% rating in the May 2002 issue of Germany’s ‘Stereo’ magazine, a rare achievement by any standard.
Unsurpassed Quality: The player also features Sony’s top-of-the-line SACD transport decoupled from the framework by polymer blocks, a separate power brick to prevent interference, and a 6mm brushed aluminum faceplate.
Availability: The Lindemann audio-technik D680 retails for $8,999 US and available now. The D680 will be featured at the International CES in Room 2514, January 9-12, 2003.
