Home High Efficiency Speaker Asylum

Need speakers that can rock with just one watt? You found da place.

Re: old JBL speakers- part out or ?

I was in the same spot - LE-14C's (LE-14 with a LE-20 co-axial) in old '61 vintage Acousti-Craft Queen Anne style cherry wood cabs. With matching equipment console.

Looks were #1 for WAF. Sound was dreadful.

I dumped the drivers and got LE-15B's and 2420's (on Edgar salad bowls, perched on top of the cab).

Sound is GREAT.

Don't necessarily blame the cabs. Part the JBL's out for git-tar players and buy some JBL 15"'s.
