not everyone orders online.It doesn't matter what deal *I* get, it matters what deal the average consumers get.
The whole point to hybrid discs are to get SACD software out to the masses, whether they know they're getting a SACD layer or not. Basically trying to make the whole process as seamless as possible.
The average Canadian purchases their CDs at a B&M store.
Consumers already feel that $13-$20 is too much to pay for a CD, how happy are they going to be when they see these new Rolling Stone CDs priced at $30+ ?And I won't even go into the $45+ CAD for Telarc (and other audiophile) SACDs.
