I already mentioned my vinyl setup. I am using the VAC Sig IIa preamp and Vac Phi 300.1 monoblocks. My speakers are ESP Harps (2 10 inch woofers, 2 6.5 inch Kevlar Scan Speak midrange drivers, and two tweeters). All wiring is Siltech. I just got back from seeing Delfeayo Marsalis Sextet live at a local jazz club. I go quite often to the Detroit Symphony. First of all I will say no home system sounds like the live event. If most audiophiles heard a live symphony they would say there is no imaging and the sound is a little too warm. I will say it again the best is analog tape and then vinyl. I will never listen to vinyl from a digital master. I listen to mainly classical records from the 60-80's. Russian players are my favorite especially on the Mylodea label. I never did like the audiophile labels Mercury and RCA. The best can be found on BIS, Harmony Mundi, Erato, Some Decca/London's, Telefunken, etc.
