Was told to try the c. crane from someone here and as i was about to order, i thought i'd do a quick research check. Seems there may only be 3 popular manafactures. I was sad to see two of the manafactures implicitly dish each other. Both of these companies are popular and very well know in the tuner field. why they dont just explain their products benefits so i can choose is beyond me. fanfare dishes magnum for doing something they did in the PAST! maybe they got some agreement to dish eachother for a period of time... just bothered me to see this slime from both companies in my new found hobby, where trust, judgement and subjectivity is so much a part of it and makes it so fun. same goes to Energy Loudspeakers for making a stunningly good sounding speaker that "breaks" due to "glue defects" and are UNWILLING to replace with their improved models but will only make very very sloppy repairs. i have pics if anyone interested is seeing the sloppy sloppy SLOPPY job they sent me to replace the drivers in my $2500US speakers. anyways, thats not why i posted but had to get that off my chest. i do believe MOST manafactures do provide what they claim, but where SUBJECTIVITY plays such a huge role, i cannot understand how they dont understand customer service, loyalty, word of mouth, in this world of modern global communications. anyways, can anyone tell me which antenna is best from what is written below and if not, how each subjectively sounds. i trust your ears...
C. Crane FM Reflect($24.95): "best indoor fm antenna made", "213% more powerful than a standard dipole", "standard dipoles start to fall off near the end of the band".
Fanfare FM-2G FM ($99):"while the fm-g2 performs better overall than other similar designs, it's construction and method of coupling are truly superior" - it goes on saying how this is better over harsh weather conditions but nothing of sound quality, but is the original of this dipole design.
Magnum Dynalab ST-2 ($99): "more powerful FM Antenna than any single element dipole antenna"
