Not sure exactly what you mean by your question... If you mean how do we optimize the bass of the Acapella Violins and/or Campaniles (the larger Acapellas need to have their bass optimized about as much as Bill Gates needs to beg for spare change), then we use the standard approaches everybody uses: High current solid-state amps or modest to high-powered tube amps, placement optimization (which can be finessed by the seperate adjustments on the speaker for midrange and tweeter output and crossover frequencies), spikes (Brian Ackerman at Artistic Audio manufactures these for the Acapellas), isolation platforms (yep, under the speakers, people use the Acapella Fondato Silenzio), and even pairing with a good subwoofer (Tapsa at TL-Audio uses Audio Physics Minos subwoofers with the Campaniles - though he does not have the Campanile Highs which add quite a bit more control and definition to the bass and so begs the question of whether to add a subwoofer at all). I probably left out a few techniques, but you get the idea...Or do you mean how did they optimize the bass of the Violins in the CES room between Thursday and Sunday? We were curious as well and the answer was: the system just 'settled' and burned in, they fine-tuned the placement a little, and they cleaned the contacts with a Cardas solution.
