I'd put my restored Marantz 250M up against that. It was a little over, around $850 to purchase and have fully restored.
As a tube guy I use this amp often and it IS as good as my tube gear. Actually at times I prefer using it.
SS is a funny thing and mainly a taste. Until you start getting into the upper realm of pricing. Then the line between tubes and SS no longer exist.
