It's 15 ohm field coil speaker and may have an amp in there, we can't see it. More pics required. The thicker wire may be the supply voltage to the coil if there is no tube amp inside. Do you see a chassis with tubes? Field coils were also called Electrodynamic. Typical schematic shown
