Should congress or whomever not act soon. Benefits will just be reduced . . . To about 70-75% of current payout. Seems that this is actually the plan. Congress won't have to raise any taxes or legislatively reduce benefits. Just let it slowly collapse and hope no one notices. Also provides cover . . . "I didn't do it".
