A strong U.S. didn't seem to do the world any favor anyway. Now we're just a pawn.
Iran is a much bigger and more powerful opponent than Sadam was.
Afghanistan, too, comes to mind, but again much weaker than Iran, only so inaccessible that only a foolish nation would get involved. OK, I understand now.
