DOGE (pronounced "dodgy") activities would be correct if what he was doing consisted of actual, serious, and proper audits, using people experienced and credentialed in institutional financial accounting. But that's not what they are at all. They are nothing but haphazard, chaotic, amateurish, and badly-planned political dog-and-pony shows. He has made all kinds of outlandish and unsubstantiated claims about fraud and waste reduction, while providing no criteria for defining those terms. The whole thing is a clown show, and fortunately at least some responsible judges have put the kibosh on some of it.
