RE: Our Subaru & Honda dealers do it too....

Looks like you don't drive a lot. At 900/mi in 3 months you're probably on track for about 4000 miles in a year assuming no long trips.

Well, there wasn't much to show in the shop video.

They panned the underside of my Crosstrek with their video camera to show me there were no leaks or rust. That was about it for this video.

The shop report showed the amount of brake pad thickness in mm that I have front and rear along with tire tread wear. They checked all the usual stuff like belts, fluids, air filter, cabin air filter, etc. but I think the car is too new to have any issues.

Of course they did the main service that I was there for including oil+filter change and tire rotation and pressure. If I'm not mistaken the owner's manual recommends oil+filter change every 6000 miles or 6 months which ever comes first. Since I don't drive that much I'm on the 6 month plan to have oil changes. I did one myself early on but we'll see if I continue to do it or just take it to the shop. They sent me a coupon so it was just $99 and it gets logged with Subaru and CarFax.

I bought my Crosstrek in April 2024. Is yours at later 2024 or a 2025? How do you like it so far?
