They never need oil changes, there are no head gaskets to blow, no timing chains to break, no exhaust system to replace, no fuel system, no evaporative system to fail, no real need for driveshafts (some EV platforms have an motor at each wheel), no cylinder deactivation, no turbocharging, no direct injection...
