I've got back and forth and nearly bought a Mach-E. It surely a fun car to drive and quick. But, I can't justify it for other than local trips. Otherwise, the wife's Prius is the road trip car. My truck is also needed for hauling, so it's hard to get on the EV bandwagon.
OTOH, we'll run out of our current net metering in 2032, I think. Then, we need batteries under the new MEM 2.0 or 3.0, whatever it is. The problem is cost as we'd need at least two Tesla Powerwalls or equivalent. Buying an EV that is V2G capable makes perfect sense and we'd get solar batteries for free.
