In this case I think the "problem" lies at a higher level, specifically a lack of a consistent, unified moderation policy and intermoderator communication within the AA organization. I cringed when I saw the mod of one AA subforum publicly ban the mod of another AA sub forum. I understand the need for everyone participating here to adhere to the "rules" including mods but this specific issue should have been handled privately. I know Rick W and others disagree with me on this but AA mods are the public "face" of the AA organization and are members of the AA leadership team. Public spats like this reflect poorly on the organization.
