"We've become"? Human's have always been "ignorant self-centered pussies" as were the so-called "greatest generation" until threatened and shot at.
The Federal Gas Tax is about 18 cents/gallon. Even adding a State Tax suspension of approx. 30 Centavos, how much fiscal stimulus will that bring to supply and demand? Bupkus!
BTW, that "1 in a 100"? More and more of them are successfully running for Congress, PTSD and all and the one's winning ain't no Chardonnay-sipping Vegans. Or hadn't you noticed?
