There are many "political families", both here in Texas and all over the country and the world. For folks who are wondering what Sondek is talking about, the Hunt brothers thought they would make a massive fortune by cornering the silver metal market. Their plan didn't work out so well, and they lost a boatload of money. That was in 1980. (42 years ago, for folks in Rio Linda.) Two of the three brothers have passed away, and the third is 93.I don't keep up on political families in general, so I don't know what the Hunt family involvement in the Texas electrical grid is. I do remember that most, if not all, the ERCOT Board members (as of February 2021) didn't even live in Texas. Maybe Sondek can fill us in on the details.
But for those who are into this sort of thing (political families), check out the Daley family in Chicago. Having grown up in Wisconsin, I know a little of the history and shennanigans.
