another HS shooting

Parent just bought the gun a few days ago. Presumably he passed the Federal background check and all the other paperwork.

Now?

WHY WASN'T IT LOCKED UP? In a Real gunbox with a pick-proof (not biometric) lock.....???

THAT is to me, an accessory crime. If I were a gun owner with teens? You can bet they'd be secured

and NOT available to the kids. some thing like at the LINK, bolted down would do for a single handgun...
The box I link uses a MECHANICAL lock of high reliability, nothign with a BATTERY which will run down the MOMENT you need it most.
This is an expensive box, but properly mounted? I DEFY you to easily get in it in less than 1/2 hour or with minimal hand-onlly tools....
