A 3-fuel grill as you propose has TOO MANY points of failure.
All that gas plumbing? Than the electric worm gear and variable speed controller for the pellets.
Me? I Light it up. time it out and cook......A LITTLE more than that, but essentially all I need is a match and I use those 'wax cube' starters from Weber. I could also use MilSpec heat cubes to start my grill.......
