I have the XL and can 'cook for the army' in one wack. I use a Weber Chimney as lighting aid and can get 'er up to temp and even in about 1/2 hour. Perfect for a single glass of suds.
20lb turkey or ham? Half a dozen burgers AND a bunch of (with husk on) corn on the cob. Asparagus and peppers are PERFECT with a nice smokey flavor.
I have rib racks and have planked various fish dishes. You can 'beer can' cook chicken, though I much prefer 'Spatch'....
I've even done PIZZA at 600f and change. Try getting your GAS grill up that hot!
At that level, you end up with 50lb of Extra Ceramics......as heat deflectors and pizzaa stones. I've even made those rolls from a tube. Perfect!
ONE HINT for the charcoal guys out there? DO NOT use Briquettes. They are largely INERT material which is responsible for the HUGE ash output. Real Lump produces a fraction the waste and is easily damped and relit next go...
Too much is never enough
