People get all wound up about 'stuff' they 'know' to be true. Much of which isn't
Problem is that nobody will discuss anything contrary to what they know. Human tribalism is 2 groups standing across the street shouting at one another.....and not hearing ANYTHING with which they disagree.
IMO? We have entered an era of moral inversion. Neither party is all right. The end justifies the means.
One example of something wrong thows the whole thing out. I said something NICE about Milton Friedman, a Nobel Economist. But Milton? Was in favor of Deregulation. Good, as a matter of principle, I suppose but NOW? Since that didn't work out well? EVERYTHING the guy said is now wrong.
No matter that you can't find ANY expert anywhere on any subject with a 100% record. And as you cross disiplinary lines......in my case, from pure economics to sociiology or psychology or various beharioral studies? the 'hit rate drops a lot....and fast. People are contrary.
