RE: Who Cooks ?




I cook. Made a spicy hot dog on the grill today.....along with a selection of peppers.

Peppers can be used later in a variety of kitchen cooked dishes to add a little outdoor flavor.

Wood Skewers are to be SOAKED for an hour or more prior to use. And make that Bamboo. NEVER had one burn thru....though the ends DO get toasty....

And around here? NO sauces on the grill. It is a table condiment. Any time I think I need it, I'll fire up a DRY RUB.

And while you're at it? Get a 'mans grill'.....something like a BGE sized to fit your largest anticipated crowd. For 2 couples? Maybe the MiniMax or Large would do....
Women LOVE the smell of a man after he BBQs......

As for 'light / heavy' load. Depends on the Size Fire you start. I can load my Egg with charcoal (NO BRIQUETTES) and start a small fire. And than control the temp at 250 for 10 or 12 hours. Even purchase an automated FAN CONTROL for that purpose. OR I can let 'er rip, get it up to 650f+ and do pizza.
